Department of Accountancy


Background information

The accountancy department was carved out of the then commercial studies department in 2006 to offer courses in Higher National Diploma in Accountancy.
The department introduced a part – time Higher National Diploma 9HND) Accountancy programme in the 2009/2010 academic year.

Vision

The overall goal of the department is to produce well-trained career-oriented student, equipped with entrepreneurial and managerial skills for self-employment, commerce, industry, public service and professional development.

Mission

The mission of the accountancy department is to be a centre of excellence offering career-oriented and demean driven training to students to solve the manpower need of commerce and industry and to provide consultancy services to the general public.
